Hunting and Gathering Health and Beauty Aids

While couponing is not a practice in the Microcosm, foraging for bargains is.  Scanning ads and matching up coupons to deals is a regimen long abandoned.  Instead, the plan is to just check for clearance items. If shopping at CVS, one goal is to match up the deals if something good spits out of the Extra Care kiosk.  Last week, deodorant and an organic body wash made the cut -- five bucks for the lot!  That would be the price of just one of the items alone.  That's bargain worth hunting for.

The cancer canine gets a lot of vitamin supplements mixed into her veggie slop.  Supplements can be expensive so it's essential to find BOGOs.  This is something that we do scan circulars to find.  The plan last week was to go to Rite Aid for their special.  However, CVS had the same deal plus a coupon in the kiosk to boot.  That was a deal to carpe!

Another source we rely on is the Dollar Tree.  Their supplements are just a buck and we can get many that we need.  The smaller doses may seem off-putting to some, but when you are trying to dose a dog, the sizes are perfect.

Aside from what is regularly needed in the course of any given week (food, etc.), about twelve extra goes to these types of finds.  It may seem like money is being squandered, but we'd pay a lot more to buy at full retail when needed.

Reduction reconnaissance as a method of  bargain hunting is worth the time and effort.

    1. It's always on the list as the top herb for immune support. It's anti-inflammatory -- and inflammation is toxic (helping cancerous cells grow). If you have arthritis or just general aches and pains, it is supposed to help!
