It is fun to feed the boys who are working at the house. It's a tradition. This is nothing like what the lady on The Pioneer Woman whips up. Things are more super-markety at the Microcosm. One popular meal was a Manwhich/Tatertot casserole. It started with a pound of browned ground beef, which was mixed with the canned sauce. The topping is made of potato puffs, mixed with shredded cheese and dried peppers. Bake 35 minutes @ 375.
For dessert, note the generic/supermarket brand Klondike bar. The sweetness of the dessert played nicely off of the savory of the casserole. Everyone liked it. Including Neighbor Dave, who we like to feed too.
These cookies were a rainy morning snack served with hot coffee. Small bags of cookie mix can be found at the Dollar Tree. The peanut butter variety only calls for water. The sugar cookie variety needs water plus 1/4 cup butter or margarine. This hack used an over-ripe banana along with a tablespoon of canola oil, then a handful of shredded coconut.
Feeding the boys is fun, and it also ensures they always make time on their schedule for our jobs!
