Fast Food Coupon Clipping

We don't  clip a lot of coupons and we also don't eat much fast food.  However, if we're going to eat fast food, we'll almost always use a coupon!

A local weekly sale circular gets delivered in the mail.  It almost always has Burger King and Tim Horton coupons.  Those are just about the only fast food places we frequent.  Each week, there are two pages of coupons to cut and organize.  They are divided into meals -- one is for breakfast, the other is for all other meals.  There is also a discard pile of items we'll never eat (think Chicken Fries).  The piles are paper-clipped together.

The coupons we won't use go to work with The Big Guy.  This container sits on his counter at the HVAC/Refrigeration/Plumbing Supply branch he runs.  His guys can grab a coupon if they go out for lunch, and they are also available for his customers.  This is a population that spends most of their days driving around town and stop to eat fast lunches.

In addition to sorting by meal, each week the supply is edited down to remove any coupons which are out of date.

The supply that we'll use are kept in a zippy and stored in the Haus Frau's purse.  This way, if we are out together, we'll be sure to have them.  If TBG is tasked with getting takeout, the wife will be able to easily locate them and hand out as needed.

This is a good way to save a little bit on the rare occasion we need to pick up a convenience meal.  It's also a way to help out the guys at work.  Definitely worth the five minutes a week it takes to clip and save!
