We are huge Marvel and DC Comic fans at the Microcosm. When it comes to favorite characters, Deadpool and Wolverine top the list. For our most recent gift-giving endeavor, the recipient was an even bigger Marvel fan, with DP on the top of his anti-hero list. A Deadpool party was in order!
Anyone looking for decorations at a party supply store will most definitely find Marvel and DC themes -- but only those that are kid-appropriate. That leaves out Wade and Logan for the most part. This makes no difference, because crafty comic fans know how to make their own!
The white bag was a must so that Sharpies could be used to draw the comic character face. The bag, tissue and streamers came from Dollar Tree. The streamers were also used for decoration. Once the character was drawn on the bag, a light coat of clear acrylic was sprayed over to keep it from running or smudging.
The stuffed unicorn came from Five Below and was five bucks. Deadpool and unicorns go together like the 80's and Wham! And not shown but also gifted was an old cassette from the 80's -- Wham! "Fantastic." Alas, "Make it Big" could not be found in the pile of old tapes in the micro-basement.
The 4x6 print was designed at home and printed at CVS. This image was also used to order a large chocolate cake from Tops -- they printed the image on the cake and we opted for black and red frosting. It was a big hit! The celebration was to congratulate TBG's assistant manager being promoted to Manager of a different branch. And 8x10 "Maxium Effort" print was then signed in Sharpie by the staff.
Are there any Deadpool fans out there? If so, how'd we do?

One person I take care of is Marvel collector and it a pretty impressive collection.

If you'd asked me last year if I'd turn into a total Marvel-Head, I'd have said "What?" DeadPool was a life-changer!
