Camping Gift

When it comes to fabric, nothing says "Camping" quite like plaid.  At least I make sure our trailer always has a plaid flannel blanket.  Friends have just retired and bought their first travel trailer.  They'll be setting out on a three month tour of the Northern US this summer.  Naturally, I had to give them a "Welcome to RVing" present.  I found a small quilted blanket at an Estate Sale -- it had never been used.

The gift bag I put together included stationary and an address book -- non technology items that are actually useful as you travel. They'll meet people and want to keep their contact info.  I've gotten written thank you notes after hosting travelers for dinner.  Campgrounds are friendly places!

The package also had a nifty LED flashlight (the same one we gave our contracting boys a few months  back), micellar water and cotton pads (a girls best facial cleansing friend when camping), a microwave brownie making kit, and brownie mix, plus a 365 day diary.

It was nice to have another camping couple discover the wonderful area where we spend most of our leisure time.  They loved it and have promised to make it their final stop when they conclude their summer tour.
